What is Integrated Pest Management (IPM)? IPM is structured around thorough inspections, monitoring, structural modifications and sanitation, and the use of different materials to make the environment less hospitable to insects and other pests. It does include the use of pesticides, but as a last resort to eliminate an infestation - routine baseboard spraying is NOT part of an IPM program. In every situation, a non-pesticide approach is preferred where possible. Communication and cooperation with your pest control company are critical
to successful IPM programs, whether for homes or businesses.
