Employing specially trained bed bug dogs is one of the most effective ways to determine if you have bed bugs in your home or business. They are 99% effective when it comes to identifying these pests-almost 70% more effective than humans.

With 800 hours of intensive training, our dogs are a cutting-edge addition to our array of pest control services, and are capable of detecting pesky bed bugs in your home or buildings. Our detection dogs also receive quarterly re-certification and annual re-certification at an off-site canine academy.

All of our dogs are trained using a Scent Diversification Wheel, a process whereby bed bugs are hidden in different compartments throughout a series of training sessions. With the bugs appearing in different areas each time, our detection dogs learn to always rely on scent to find them.

Bed Bug Extermination

Prior to our arrival, we'll present you with a series of bed bug treatment preparation steps, such as removing bedding. From there, a series of bed bug elimination tactics are employed:

Step 1: Comprehensive bed bug detection

Step one focuses on bed bug elimination in infested areas and adjoining rooms. Liquid bed bug treatments, bed bug dust, and bed bug cleaning techniques, and other treatment methods are employed based on where bed bugs are found.

Step 2 (3-5 days later): Bed bug re-inspection

Western's initial bed bug service is followed by another complete round of bed bug treatments if any bed bugs are found.

Step 3 (24 hours later): Final bed bug inspection

At the conclusion of our three-step bed bug removal process, Western conducts an additional re-inspection to ensure complete bed bug removal. While at your home, we'll carefully inspect mattresses, popcorn ceilings, wallpaper and more for evidence of bed bug activity. Treatment won't stop until evidence of bed bugs is gone.
