Western Pest Services today announced that its Paramus and JRG/ Freehold, N.J. branches have been awarded the 2011 Angie's List Super Service Award. The honor is given annually to approximately 5 percent of all the businesses rated on Angie's List, the nation's leading provider of consumer reviews on local service and health providers.
Experts warn that homeowners should act now to protect their homes from stink bugs this winter. Western experts point out that while early fall is when stink bugs begin seeking indoor shelter, many service calls come well into October after stink bugs have already invaded homes and businesses seeking overwintering sites.
“Bed bugs are cold-blooded, so warmer temperatures lead to faster development and allow them to lay more eggs,” said Phil Pierce, entomologist and technical services manager for Western Pest Services. “Even more, they are extremely resilient pests and resistant to many pesticides.”
