Termite Protection Plan

Termite Protection Plan

Western's Zone Defense™ Program includes:

1st Line: Application of the "Treated Zone"
The first line of defense is the creation of a "treated zone" in the soil around your home. This is the protective "zone" in which termite will forage, contact the termiticide, and bring it back to the colony.

2nd Line: Termi-Teller Monitors
Western's Termi-Teller Monitors are the second line of defense. These wooden stakes are set in the treated soil and are examined periodically for termite activity to monitor the effectiveness of the "zone". Most firms do not employ this line of defense, but Western found monitoring the area immediately adjacent to the foundation to be crucial in protecting your home!

3rd Line: Interior Inspection
The third line is a documented annual interior inspection to insure ongoing protection. After all... the largest monitoring device is the structure itself. Western carefully inspects what we are trying to protect... your home!

This plan offers immediate protection backed by advanced warning systems.

What's the best way to handle termites? Western offers two innovative termite solution programs that do the trick! With Western's Zone Defense™ Program, the "treated zone" technology allows the termite to either ingest or carry the termiticide directly to the colony. This leads to 100% control in less than 120 days. Western prides itself on being the leader in innovative pest control techniques and taking that extra step to insure a first quality job!

Western's Advanced Baiting System takes another approach to termite control. After placing termite baiting stations in key locations around your home, Western monitors these stations for termite activity. Termites feed on Recruit™ IV termite bait and send other termites in their colony back to feed on the bait. As the termites continue to feed on this bait, the colonies decline. After a colony has been eliminated, the bait will be replaced with new electronic monitoring devices and Western will continue to monitor those stations on a regular basis.

Western's Advanced Baiting System includes:

Step 1: Western's Advanced Baiting stations with electronic monitoring devices will be placed in the soil around your home.

Step 2: The stations will be checked regularly and scanned electronically for termite activity.

Step 3: The termites will feed on RecruitTM IV termite bait, tunnel out and send other colony nestmates back to feed on the bait. As they do, the colony starts to decline and will eventually be eliminated.

Step 4: After a colony has been eliminated, the bait will be replaced with new electronic monitoring devices. We will continue to inspect these regularly to detect any new colony that might invade your property.

The Importance of Ongoing Monitoring
A new termite colony can invade at any time. Monitoring stations are placed at precise intervals around your home. They stand guard as the first line of defense. When an inspection of a monitoring station shows termite activity, Western introduces the Advanced Baiting System. Immediately, additional bait stations may be installed near the infested monitor and they are constantly monitored and rebaited until all activity ceases. The stations are then re-converted to monitoring status to continue protecting your home.
