Effective pest control and great customer service often start behind-the-scenes, where we work to ensure we are providing the best and most-efficient services possible, while keeping you: the customer, at the center of our approach.
We recently met up with Jennifer Brumfield, our Training and Technical Specialist, who highlighted our unique focus on technician training at Western. It involves the task of ensuring each and every technician has the skills they need to be the best they can be at their job, starting on their very first day.
“Not only are each of our technicians briefed on the history of the company and our long-standing dedication to our customers, but also on the company’s overall strategic goals – and how, as new employees, they can work with their colleagues and our customers to not only achieve them, but to surpass expectations,” she revealed.
Brumfield, who has been with the company for 15 years, explained that the way that Western works to help achieve those goals, is by describing to our technicians the services that we offer, the intricacies of each of them, and educating our employees on all of the pests and critters we work with. It also involves constantly looking at the newest technologies to stay ahead of the curve in pest technology.
Constantly evaluating the newest technologies and regulations that affect both homes and businesses of every facet, Western puts a strategic focus on educating our technicians, and continuing to build our reputation and dedication to customer service.
What sets Western apart, in correlation with their unique initial training, is that we constantly update the proficiency of our staff through ongoing training programs, both residential and commercial, that stress safety and technical expertise.
Our technicians are trained to remediate even your most complex pest issue, and stay up to date with their state licenses and continuing-education credits. Brumfield, who is also an entomologist, explained, “We employ a full staff of Field Supervisors, Quality Control Coordinators, and Staff Entomologists to maintain our high standards of performance, and we proudly stand behind our work.”
What sets Western’s technician furthest apart, however, is that our technicians constantly go above and beyond the state requirements. Along with our personal guarantee on service, we promise our customers that within one year of employment at Western, every technician will have their own state license as well as the training and education necessary to be the best in the brand.
While many states allow for individuals to work under their manager’s certifications instead of making them acquire their own, Western’s technicians are all individually licensed to handle your most complex pest issues.
While re-certification requirements also differ for every state, Western provides ongoing re-certification credit opportunities that meet the requirements of every state – and we make sure that our technicians are all consistently licensed and provided with the knowledge they need to service even your most complex pest issues.
