Q: What’s your name?
A: Marybeth Hall

Q: And what is your official title at Western Pest Services?
A: Recruiting Manager

Q: What are your responsibilities?
A: I recruit amazing talent throughout the business for all open career opportunities as well as create and maintain a pipeline of potential talent for future opportunities. I provide support to both sales and operations in guiding the recruiting process, while providing new hires with the best onboarding experience possible.

Q: What year did you start working at Western?
A: 2017

Q: How many years have you been working in this industry?
A: Recruiting in the pest control industry for 3 years at Western; recruiting in sales 5+ years in a variety of industries; recruiting in general 7 years in agency staffing, 15 years in contract corporate recruiting.

Q: What is your education background?
A: I have a BA in Communications from Ramapo College of New Jersey. I am in the process of researching the Purdue University Master’s program that is offered by our parent company.

Q: Do you have any relevant certifications or specialties?
A: I have some internet sourcing certifications and training, such as AIRS. Another future goal would be for me to pursue my PHR or SPHR which are both professional HR certifications.

Q: Are there any interesting projects you’ve worked on that you’d like to include?
A: In 2020, I assisted our parent company in hiring 60+ call center and sales agents during a 6-8-week period, supported Northern CA sourcing resulting in hiring over 30+ hires (that’s 1 hire per day over 30 days!), and took responsibility for virtual and military hiring events including setup, management, reporting, and follow up.

Q: Is there anything else you would like to include?
A: I love that I get to make someone’s day a little bit better by telling them about or offering a new career opportunity. I appreciate that this is an extremely important decision for each potential candidate that I speak to. I can’t think of anything I would rather do.
