What Do Stink Bugs Look Like?

Stink Bug Features

Stink Bug Size

Adults can grow as long as 3/4 inches (19 mm), while nymphs are usually about 1/8 inches (3 mm) in length. The width of the body is usually less than its length.

Stink Bug Color

Brown marmorated stink bugs are usually light to dark brown in color, with mottled shades of gray, black, or copper on the back and wings.

Stink Bug Characteristics

Stink bugs have a distinctive shield-like shape.

Their antennae feature alternating light and dark bands of color, which help distinguish the brown marmorated variety from other stink bug species.

The underside of the body is typically lighter in coloration, and the legs are brown with white bands. Parts of the abdomen protrude from underneath the wings and appear to alternate between black and white, completing the banded appearance of the insect.
