Q: What’s your name?
A: Stacey Honer-McMann

Q: And what is your official title at Western Pest Services?
A: Senior Account Executive; *my unofficial title is “Bug Lady”

Q: What are your responsibilities?
A: The short answer is generating new commercial business. My responsibility doesn’t end when a new client signs up, though. Retention is key to productivity on both sides of the relationship, so it’s a sales rep’s responsibility to ask the right questions, provide thorough inspection, and set clear expectations to establish a lasting partnership.

Q: What year did you start working at Western?
A: 2015

Q: How many years have you been working in this industry?
A: It will be 6 years in March. Joining the Western team was my introduction to the pest control industry.

Q: What is your educational background?
A: I jumped into the workforce before graduation, but once I received my diploma from Coatesville Area Senior High, I acquired on-the-job experience in a range of fields from the bar/restaurant industry to medical office settings and most recently worked in Property Management/Multifamily – actually working for one of our loyal current clients!

Q: Do you have any relevant certifications or specialties?
A: I do! I’m proud to say I recently earned my certificate as a PCQI from Rutgers University. This enables me to better understand the goals of our third-party audited accounts. I also hold a reciprocal Pesticide Applicators License in both PA & NJ.

Q: Have you received any relevant awards?
A: Do gift cards count? I can’t say I’ve got many pest control trophies above the mantle, but the respect and appreciation of my colleagues is something I wear like a blue ribbon.

Q: Are there any interesting projects you’ve worked on that you’d like to include?
A: Every year for the last 5 years, I’ve collected funds and donations to build “Blessings Bags” which contain personal hygiene products, cold weather essentials (hand warmers, hats, gloves, socks, etc.) bottled water, and healthy snacks to be distributed to folks in our region experiencing homelessness. My favorite part is the notes of encouragement included in each bag, letting recipients know they are bigger than their circumstances.

Q: Is there anything else you would like to include?
A: I didn’t know when I accepted the sales position that it would become my career, but I’m so glad it has! The leadership team has been truly influential in my personal and professional development, and I’m deeply grateful to the Western family for the opportunities working here has afforded me and my family.
