Western Pest Services is about more than just pest control. While they’re out there keeping homes and businesses pest free, they make time to also focus on charities that make a difference. And they have a special place in their hearts (as we all do) for our veterans. The brave men and women who fought for our freedom, and the sacrifices these men, women, and their families make supporting them all the more necessary and rewarding. So, Senior Account Executive, Andy Lindemuth, decided to do something about it.
Andy teamed up with the United Methodist Charities to donate to the Have A Heart Campaign. The charity supports over 600 disabled veterans in Southern New Jersey year-round but this time, it was all about Valentine’s Day! Andy rallied the (Western) troops at a sales meeting that happened to fall right before the heart-filled holiday. They came together with donations, helped pack the boxes, and even wrote encouraging messages on a giant Valentine’s Day card for the veterans to enjoy. At the end of the day, Western donated about 12 boxes that included socks, candy, gift cards, and other essential items, as well as the giant card to the Veteran’s Home in Vineland, NJ.
We asked Andy about the charity and how the delivery of the items went. He said, “I was proud to deliver all of the donations to the Veterans Home in Vineland. I can’t thank my colleagues at Western enough for being so generous! I was overwhelmed by everyone’s generosity at the sales meeting. We really came through for this charity!”
Whether you have family or loved ones or not – or you just think Valentine’s Day is a holiday made up by the Hallmark people – everyone loves to feel the love. So, providing that little bit of love just made the entire team feel good. Thanks to Andy’s leadership and the generosity of our team for participating, donating, and taking the time out of their day to pack and deliver the boxes. Western certainly does have a heart.
