Pest Control in Farmingdale, NY

Farmingdale is an incorporated village on Long Island within the Town of Oyster Bay in Nassau County. The first European settler in the area was Thomas Powell, who arrived in 1687. On October 18, 1695, he purchased a 15-square-mile tract of land from three Native American tribes. Known as the Bethpage Purchase, it included what is now Farmingdale, as well as Bethpage, Melville, North Massapequa, Old Bethpage, Plainedge, and Plainview. One of two houses he built in the area (circa 1738) still stands on Merritts Road in Farmingdale. In the 1830s, anticipating construction of the Long Island Rail Road (LIRR), land developer Ambrose George purchased a large tract of land between a community then known as Bethpage and an area in Suffolk County known as Hardscrabble. He built a general store in the western part of this property which he named Farmingdale. When the LIRR started service to the area in October 1841, it used the name Farmingdale for its latest stop. Stagecoaches took people from the Farmingdale station to Islip, Babylon, Patchogue, Oyster Bay South, and West Neck (Huntington area).

Farmingdale clearly has a rich history, but it’s also a tourist destination. Go to where history soars, the American Airpower Museum. Create fun family memories at Adventureland. The rides there range from a sweet carousel to a thrilling roller coaster called the FireBall. Also check out Charlotte’s Speakeasy. Make sure to visit the website to get that week’s password. We weren’t kidding when we said it is a speakeasy. For dinner before the drinks you’ll have at Charlotte’s, make sure to get the prosciutto wrapped burrata and sweet potato gnocchi at 317 main street. Every year, people flock to Farmingdale to enjoy everything it has to offer, but unfortunately, so do pests. While these bugs and rodents provide benefits to the eco-system in Farmingdale, they can also be a serious problem at homes and businesses. That’s when a professional pest control expert should be called in.

Pest Control Services Near You

Properly controlling pests in Farmingdale, NY should be done on a local level. Farmingdale’s pest issues are different than Connecticut’s and way different than New Jersey’s. The pest control company you choose should have knowledge and expertise in your town. That’s Western Pest Services. We have been servicing New York, New Jersey, Connecticut, Delaware, and Pennsylvania for almost 100 years. That kind of expertise is unmatched in the industry. And with a branch located in nearby New York City, our technicians, customer services representatives, and everyone else that works at that location lives and works in the area, too. Our neighbors are your neighbors, and we treat them that way.

As the Empire State, New York is known for the city that never sleeps, but it’s got no shortage of lush vegetation. The towns on Long Island are no exception. Warm, moist summers give way to cold winters, which means over-wintering insects, rodents, and other small wildlife need to find warm places to wait out the cold. The local extermination experts at our NY branch are used to dealing with mice, carpenter ants, bed bugs, termites, mosquitoes, ticks – and even the occasional cheeky raccoon or hiding bat. No matter the season, your pest control service needs will be taken care of by a local exterminator that knows the area and the pests that are common to it. In the summer, they know what that the ponds and birdbaths many people have around their homes can be exactly where mosquitoes like to breed. They know that the ticks that come out during the summer months can transmit Lyme disease so while nobody can help the wooded areas around Ellsworth W. Allen Park, they can help your backyard stay free from them. In the cooler months, they know mice can try to make their way into your garage – especially if that’s where you keep the 20 lb. dog food bag! No matter what pest, any time of the year, our pest control treatments in Farmingdale can help, including:

  • Bats
  • Bed bugs
  • Ticks
  • Spotted lanternflies
  • Ants
  • Carpenter ants
  • Spiders
  • Beetles
  • Rats
  • Raccoons
  • Cockroaches
  • Squirrels
  • Termites
  • Mice
  • Mosquitoes
  • Wood Destroying Insect Reports (WDIR)
  • And Many More!
