Western Pest Services & Western Fumigation Come Together to Help Our Troops Overseas

Western Pest Services has helped make the US military servicemen and women overseas feel more at home by volunteering to help the Woman’s Club of Parsippany-Troy Hills with their “Operation Yellow Ribbon” year after year. For the past four years, Western has helped with their “Operation Holiday Stocking” which focuses on organizing and collecting donated supplies and goodies to send to our brave heroes deployed in harm’s way. Karen DeChristopher, Marketing Administrator for Western Fumigation and a Woman’s Club member, and Tom McCormick, Call Center Supervisor at Western Pest Services, both organized and collected everything needed to fill the stockings. The staff at Western in Parsippany were more than happy to help fill the 50 stockings with much needed items and goodies including granola bars, chewing gum, and even puzzle/Sudoku books! The filled stockings were then delivered to the Woman’s Club members who will deliver them to the headquarters of the New Jersey State Federation of Women’s Clubs in New Brunswick. From there, they will be driven to Virginia for shipping out to our troops in time for the holidays.

“Operation Yellow Ribbon” is an official 501(c)(3) non-profit registered with the state of NJ. The organization consists of all volunteers, and they show support for our United States Military Forces. For more than a decade, over 170 Woman’s Clubs across NJ have prepared and sent 1,000s of filled holiday stockings.

Many thanks to everyone at Western that helped with this project benefitting the brave men and women serving our nation overseas.
