Ozzie Kuok – A Top-Notch Technician

Western Pest Services is all about our people. Our customers and our teammates are our top priorities, and we aim for excellence, creativity, and growth in everything we do. So, when we get a personal note from a customer calling out not only our incredible service and their extreme satisfaction but also calling out a particular team member, we get excited. Imagine how excited we get when we get THREE – and all of them are about the same team member!

Ozzie Kuok is a Service Manager in our Mountainside branch. He’s been with Western for over 26 years now and gets called out for exceptional service in Google reviews and direct feedback through surveys many, many times – more than anyone else, really. He’s won multiple “Technician of the Month” awards as well as “Circle of Excellence” awards. The branch manager of the Mountainside branch, Todd Kraft, has only good things to say about Ozzie. He recently said, “Ozzie provides exceptional service using his professionalism, expertise, and dedication to consistently exceed client expectations. His commitment to delivering quality workmanship, attention to detail, and courteous communication has made a lasting impression on every customer he serves.”

And three of those homeowners stopped what they’re doing and put pen to paper (or fingers to keyboard) to let us know not only just how remarkable he is but that they ONLY want him at your home. We tend to really take notice of things like that. Todd wasn’t surprised, though. He noted that, “Clients have repeatedly praised Ozzie for his prompt response, thorough problem-solving, and willingness to go above and beyond to ensure complete satisfaction. Whether troubleshooting complex issues or providing clear guidance and follow-up, he demonstrates the highest standards of service excellence.”

The homeowners who shared their experience with us felt the same! The first homeowner was so kind and sweet and just wanted us to know how much she appreciates Ozzie.

“My name is Hallie. We have been a customer of Western Pest for many, many years. Appreciate the time you are taking to listen to our feedback on the one and only, Ozzie K! Ozzie always provides the best customer service. We cannot rate Ozzie any higher than a perfect 10. He is the best in the business. Over the years Ozzie has taken care of all of our minor pest issues both inside the home and around our property. Most recently this year he took care of a couple [of] critical problems for us which included a bee issue that surfaced and grew quickly in a stump near the pool patio. With one treatment they were gone within 24-48 hours. Our family and friends visiting did not have to swat anymore sitting poolside this summer out back once this was cleared up. Ozzie has also in past years treated a smaller cricket problem which was stemming from our inground pool area. It was Ozzie to the rescue once again! Additionally, we had an unexpected rodent issue this summer which consisted of a family of rats coming in and out of the shed. They were getting in through a hole in the back of the shed wall. It was a strategic process Ozzie laid out and within several treatments, along with replacing traps Ozzie was able to rid us of the issue in weeks very quickly. You can imagine how happy we were. No matter how big or small the issue, Ozzie is always there right away (with one call) bringing a smile on his face with the proper equipment in hand. Thank you to Ozzie for all he does to keep us stress, worry and pest free. Ozzie receives a gold star from us each and every time. He will never leave a visit from our home unless we are 100% satisfied.

Ozzie clearly left a lasting impression on Hallie and her whole family. Her appreciation for him warms our hearts! Our second homeowner had a similar tone but a slightly different story since Ozzie wasn’t always their technician. He wants him to always be in the future though. This homeowner said:

“We spoke on the phone sometime back. You may remember that I was unhappy with the tech who did our house termite inspection last year. Our annual termite inspection was today. We were elated that Ozzie Kuok – someone who we knew from inspections performed in previous years – was the tech who did an excellent, thorough job! Ozzie is a veteran of many years with Western, and we have always been highly satisfied with his work and work ethic. His knowledge, skill, and pleasant personality are all commendable. I am a retired supervisor. I know talent when I experience it. Workers like Ozzie are hard to find and difficult to replace when they retire. I would like to request that Ozzie be our preferred tech for future inspections.

The third homeowner took a different road – and used a different tone. She was very, very clear saying:

“I request on every western visit OZZIE. [A] note that is on your report. I want to again commend your technician, OZZIE. He arrives on schedule, is extremely thorough, courteous, respectful of my property. OZZIE should be commended for his continuous excellent service. Your notice, email, said in five days but did not have the date. I had to call and again remind only OZZIE.

Dorothy wasn’t messing around. She let us know, in no uncertain terms, she wants Ozzie – and only Ozzie – at her home. We definitely respect her wishes! Frankly, we don’t really want to find out what happens if we don’t.

Ozzie pays attention to the details, brings his personality, and clearly delivers moments that all his customers remember. He makes a positive impression on every home he enters and makes sure to go above and beyond every time. We never tire of hearing from happy customers. We also never tire of hearing how amazing a team member is. So, to hear from three different customers singing the same technician’s praises makes us want to sing it, too. Essential together? Check! And the impact he’s making on these homeowners is clearly heroic. With the excellent service he’s providing and going above and beyond, he will obviously continue to do so.
