All About Moorestown, NJ

Moorestown is a township in Burlington County. It’s an eastern suburb of Philadelphia while geographically being part of the South Jersey region. Moorestown was authorized to be incorporated as a township by an act of the New Jersey Legislature on March 11, 1922, from portions of Chester Township (now Maple Shade Township), subject to the approval of voters in the affected area in a referendum. Main Street (formerly the King’s Highway) follows a ridge that had been occupied by the historic Lenni Lenape Native Americans. Two fine springs, one to the west (off Main Street before reaching the Perkins Center for the Arts, just by Roberts Elementary School) and one to the east (off North Stanwick Road) drew Native Americans and traders to the area. In 1682, John and Sarah Roberts became the first English-speaking residents of Moorestown when they began to live in their home where the Roberts Monument is presently located on County Route 537 at the intersection with Route 73. In May 1686, three years after the founding of Philadelphia, John Rodman bought 500 acres on the west side of Chester Township, and Thomas Rodman bought 533 acres in the same area; this soon became known as the Village of Rodmantown.

Moorestown is home to a host of natural and rural attractions. You’ve surely heard of escape rooms, but have you done them in virtual reality? Image the possibilities? Well, you don’t have to imagine at the Escape Virtual Reality. Play a fun round of mini golf at Monster Mini Golf. Then head over to South Jersey’s premier climbing location, Elite Climbing. The whole family can have fun at the Sky Zone Trampoline Park. Jump away your stress or get the kids involved in some dodgeball to take out your aggressions about all the water bottles and dishes the leave in their rooms. Is that just us? Either way, after all that fun, have a tower of onion rings and some buffalo yard bird at the Yard House. Every year, people flock to Moorestown to enjoy everything it has to offer, but unfortunately, so do pests. While these bugs and rodents provide benefits to the eco-system in Moorestown, they can also be a serious problem at homes and businesses. That’s when a professional pest control expert should be called in.

Pest Control Services Near You

Properly controlling pests in Moorestown, NJ should be done on a local level. Moorestown’s pest issues are different than Cape May’s and way different than New York City’s. The pest control company you choose should have knowledge and expertise in your town. That’s Western Pest Services. We have been servicing New York, New Jersey, Connecticut, Delaware, and Pennsylvania for almost 100 years. That kind of expertise is unmatched in the industry. Our neighbors are your neighbors, and we treat them that way.

As the Garden State, New Jersey is known for its forests, farms, trails, and abundance of greenery and lush vegetation. Moorestown is no exception. Warm, moist summers give way to cold winters, which means over-wintering insects, rodents, and other small wildlife need to find warm places to wait out the cold. The local extermination experts at our Maple Shade, NJ branch are used to dealing with mice, carpenter ants, bed bugs, termites, mosquitoes, ticks – and even the occasional cheeky raccoon or hiding bat. No matter the season, your pest control service needs will be taken care of by a local exterminator that knows the area and the pests that are common to it. In the summer, they know what that the ponds and birdbaths many people have around their homes can be exactly where mosquitoes like to breed. They know that the ticks that come out during the summer months can transmit Lyme disease so while nobody can help the wooded areas around Frank Fullerton Memorial Park, they can help your backyard stay free from them. In the cooler months, they know mice can try to make their way into your garage – especially if that’s where you keep the 20 lb. dog food bag! No matter what pest, any time of the year, our pest control treatments in Moorestown can help, including:

  • Bats
  • Bed bugs
  • Pest birds
  • Spotted lanternflies
